Gosstandart approved instructions for assessing products applying for the State Quality Mark based on safety indicators

In accordance with Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated March 29, 2024 No. 224, the most important stage in assigning the State Quality Mark to products applying for it is its assessment according to such quality indicators as safety, environmental friendliness, innovation, manufacturability and aesthetics.

This assessment is carried out by the responsible authorities in accordance with their competence. For this purpose, they develop and approve appropriate instructions.

Thus, Gosstandart evaluates products submitted for the State Quality Mark based on safety indicators. The procedure for its implementation in 2024 is established in the instructions approved by Gosstandart Resolution No. 45 dated May 3, 2024 .

What is the safety score? These are mandatory product requirements for the manufacturer, established in the technical regulations of the Republic of Belarus, the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as state standards, technical specifications, ensuring the protection of life, human health, property, the environment, animals and plants, energy efficiency and resource conservation, prevention of actions , misleading consumers, as well as the requirements of regulatory legal acts providing for the introduction of mandatory confirmation of conformity in connection with the need to take prompt measures of state regulation.

Gosstandart is forming a commission to evaluate products based on safety indicators. Representatives of republican government bodies, organizations subordinate to the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus that carry out state regulation in the field of production of relevant products, specialists from research and development organizations, as well as independent experts competent in the field of production may be involved to work in it. claiming to be awarded the State Quality Mark.

In 2024, to assess the product safety indicator, the manufacturer is recommended to fill out a characteristics questionnaire and send it with supporting information by June 12 to the secretariat of the commission, formed on the basis of BelGISS: st. Based on the results of the commission meeting, a conclusion will be formed on the compliance (non-conformity) of the competing products in terms of safety.
