The Union State is preparing 15 innovative projects for funding from the budget

On March 20 the meeting of the Commission for Economic Policy, Industry and Trade of the Parliamentary Assembly was held in Moscow. The sitting discussed the results of the Union State's programs in 2022 and the progress in developing new Union State programs and projects to be funded from the Union State's budget in 2023-2024.

It was noted that in 2022 the Union State budget was used to finance four programs: "Development, modernization and harmonization of regulatory, organizational, methodological and hardware and software support of target application of space systems of remote sensing of Russia and Belarus" ("Integration-SG"); "Improvement of information resources protection system of the Union State and the Union State Treaty member states in conditions of increasing threats in the information sphere" ("Parity"); "Program of joint activities of Russia and Belarus within the Union State to protect population

In 2023 funding was started for two new scientific and technical programmes of the Union State: "Development of advanced basic technological processes to produce functional materials, structures, components and modules for high-performance photonics products in the Union State" ("Component-F") and "Development of basic elements of orbital and ground facilities in the interests of creating multi-satellite constellations of small-size spacecraft for observation of the Earth surface and near-Earth space" ("Complex-SG").

The session also focused on the work of ministries and departments of Belarus and Russia to create a common scientific and technological space of the Union State and to prepare an updated sample list of priority S&T and innovation programs and projects of the Union State.
