The youth project "100 ideas for Belarus" has started for the 12th time

The ceremonial start of the 12th season of the Republican Youth Project "100 ideas for Belarus" took place on November 15, 2022 in the National Center of Artistic Creativity of Children and Youth.

The project is implemented by the Belarusian Republican Youth Union with the support of the Ministry of Education, the State Committee for Science and Technology and this year the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

Young people aged 14 to 31, teams of authors and young scientists (Doctors of Science up to 40 years, Candidates of Science, postgraduate and Master students — up to 35 years) are invited to participate in the project. The applications are traditionally accepted through the site 100ideas.by.

The ceremony of signing the Statement of the National Youth Project "100 Ideas for Belarus" and foresight discussion "Youth of Belarus: Science and Innovation" took place in the framework of the event.

The key vector of the project is to activate innovative thinking of the youth, attracting them to the tasks of social and economic development of the Republic of Belarus, encouraging civil initiatives in realization of innovative projects and scientific-technical developments.

The main nominations of this season are: "Energy, including nuclear power and energy efficiency", "Agro-industrial technologies and farming", "Industrial and construction technologies", "Health care (medical technologies, pharmacy, bio— and nano-industry)", "Chemical technologies, petrochemistry", "Information and Communications Technology", "Ecology (sustainable management of natural resources and recycling)", "National Security and Emergency Protection", "Society and the Social Sphere", and a special nomination — "Best Business Idea".

The project will be realized in four rounds. The first round — informative, which will take place till November 30. The second one is scheduled till December 30th and includes gathering of applications, training start-ups, district and zonal qualifying events. The third round includes organization of regional and Minsk City exhibitions and presentations, as well as exhibitions of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Ministry of Education. It will be held till January 31, 2023. The project results and winners will be announced in the fourth stage which will traditionally take place in February next year.
