New eco-friendly technologies to be presented in Rechitsa in September


More than 100 enterprises will take part in the exhibition “Modern technologies of environmental management and protection” that will be held in Rechitsa on September 6, BelTA learnt from head of the marketing and information technologies department of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Valery Savostov.

The exhibition will feature modern technologies and equipment used for water, atmosphere, land, flora and fauna management and protection. The visitors will be able to get familiar with the achievements of the Belarusian enterprises in the area of waste disposal, to get information about the national system of environmental monitoring.

Valery Savostov said that the 2008 national ecological forum is designed to consolidate all the groups of the population to find solutions to the most urgent ecological issues, to promote eco-friendly technologies and raise the awareness of the population.

The ecological forum is held in three stages. The first one was held on the regional level from April till June, the second one was held on the oblast level from June till July. The third stage is held on the national level and will run through September.

The programme of the forum includes various activities, festivals and ecological competitions.

The national ecological forum became traditional for Belarus. In the previous years it was held in Orsha, Gorky, Polotsk, Myadel and Braslav.
