Belarus passes state innovation development program in 2007-2010


President of Belarus passed the state program of innovation development in 2007-2010 by signing decree N 136 on March 26, BelTA learnt in the presidential press service.

The main purpose of the program is to promote innovation development in Belarus. As many as 100 new companies and 386 production facilities will be set up, 609 manufactures will be revamped, 888 advanced technologies will be introduced. It is noteworthy that more than 80% of all innovations will be based on domestic projects, the press service stressed.

By 2010 the share of innovation companies in the industrial sector will reach 25%.

In 2007-2010, a total of Br 6,113.2 billion will be channeled into the program.
