On 27-29 April 2011 the National Exhibition of Belarus was held in Novosibirsk, in the Exhibition Complex “ITE Siberian Fair”. It was organized by the Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Trade of Belarus and the Private Unitary Enterprise “BelInterExpo” of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The aim of the Exhibition was to increase the commodity turnover between Belarus and Russian regions, as well as to enforce the existing and create the new contacts.

The State Committee for Science and Technologies of Belarus (SCS&T) jointly with Belarusian Institute of System Analysis and Information Support of S&T Sphere has acted as collective organizer of the thematic section of S&T developments at this Exhibition. At SCS&T’s stand which area totaled 60 s.m. 120 developments have been exhibited by 12 organizations belonging to the Ministry of Education and National Academy of Sciences in the following areas: metallurgy, processing of the details’ surfaces, laser technologies, new materials, new ultrasound technologies, processing of industrial wastes, medicine, light industry, construction, mechanical engineering.

On 27 April, the brokerage event was held for establishing contacts and matching partners from the science and business of Belarus and Russia. Precisely for this event, the presentation of innovative products by Belarusian universities has been made.

During the Exhibition, the members of Belarus scientific delegation have carried out negotiations with representatives of the city authorities, research institutions of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, companies and enterprises of industry, construction and agriculture of Siberia. The key results of the meetings and negotiations have been the following:

  • 7 protocols signed between Belarusian organizations represented at the Exhibition and organizations of Novosibirsk on intentions to further develop cooperation in education and research, designing the radiotechnical devices, construction, production of wireframe penopolyurethane wall panels, etc.
  • An agreement on cooperation in science and technology between Grodno State University named after Y. Kupala and the Institute of Solid State Chemistry and Mechanochemistry of the Siberian Branch of RAS concluded;
  • Agreements on purchasing by Novosibirsk enterprises of an automated complex for producing the consolidated loop made of elastic penopolyurethane, and also of a model device for plotting a one-component penopolyurethane glue for producing glued wooden constructions concluded.
