Atomexpo-Belarus-2011, the 3rd international specialized exhibition and conference, will be held in Minsk on 2-4 March, BelTA learnt from the Technics and Communications company.

Atomexpo-Belarus will present the latest technology in design, construction, operation and security of nuclear power plants. The exhibition is aimed to promote research in nuclear energy and assist the formation of a system of training of personnel for the nuclear industry.

Taking part in the event will be over 100 companies and organizations from four countries. Among them are the Belarusian Energy Ministry, companies and organizations of Belenergo, National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Education Ministry, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection and also Gosatomnadzor and more than 30 enterprises of Russia’s nuclear industry.

For the first time Atomexpo-Belarus will represent the industrial complex of the country. The collective booth will be organized by the Industry Ministry’s major companies such as BelAZ, MAZ, Amkodor, Minsk Motor Plant, Minsk Kozlov Electrotechnical Plant, Mogilev Metallurgical Plant, Belaruskabel. The exposition will unfold inside the pavilion, and also in the open air.

The scientific and practical conference “Prospects of Nuclear Energy Industry in Belarus” will be held on 3-4 March. The conference will start with a plenary meeting which will consider issues of state policy in the field of nuclear energy and energy security. Breakout sessions will be organized on key thematic areas of the exhibition: design and construction of nuclear power plants, NPP construction project management, nuclear engineering, tools and equipment for nuclear power plant construction, safe operation. The themes of the roundtables will be: training for nuclear power industry, nuclear energy and social conscience, public awareness systems.

The organizers of the event are the Energy Ministry and also the ministries of industry, education, information, health, natural resources and environment; National Academy of Sciences, Department of Atomic Energy of the Energy Ministry, Department of Nuclear and Radiation Safety of the Emergencies Ministry (Gosatomnadzor), Belenergo, NPP Construction Directorate, Belnipienergoprom. The Russian partners include Atomexpo, the official exhibition operator of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom and organizations of the Russian nuclear industry. The initiator of the event is the Energy Ministry of Belarus.
