Belarusian Republican Foundation for Fundamental Research calls for proposals to support international collaboration in 2014:

♦  Call for basic research project implemented jointly with foreign scientists “NAUKA MS-2014”. 

The aim of this call is to financially support the creative research teams and individual researchers working in priority areas of basic research approved by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of 19.04.2010 ¹ 585.

Research projects, implemented jointly with foreign scientists from the countries having an agreement with the Republic of Belarus (intergovernmental, inter-ministerial, etc), that provide this kind of cooperation are eligible for funding. Projects with scientists from èç Armenia, Azerbaijan, Vietnam, S.Korea, Moldova, Mongolia, Romania, Russia, Ukraine and France submitted to the joint calls, respectively, with the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, State Committee on Science of the Armenian Ministry of Education and Science, Vietnamese Academy of Science and Technology, National Research Foundation of South Korea, Moldova Academy of Sciences, Scientific and Technological Foundation of Mongolia, the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, Russian Humanitarian Science Foundation, the Romanian Academy, the State Fund for Fundamental Research of Ukraine, and also the French National Centre for Scientific Research are not eligible for this Call.

Scientific areas of the Call:

• Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science;
• Technical Sciences;
• Chemical and Earth Sciences;
• Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences;
• Agricultural and biological sciences;
• Humanities.

Duration of the projects: up to 2 years.

♦  Call for proposals “BRFFR-RHRF-2014” by Belarusian Republican Foundation for Fundamental Research and Russian Humanity Research Foundation for research projects of two years duration, as well as for joint S&T events and expeditions conducted in both countries.

Research areas of the Call:

• History, archeology, ethnography;
• Economics;
• Philosophy, sociology, jurisprudence, political science, science of science;
• Philology, art, history;
• A comprehensive study of man, psychology, pedagogy;
• Social problems of medicine and human ecology.

♦  Joint call for research projects “BRFFR-RHRF-2014 PR” by Belarusian Republican Foundation for Fundamental Research and Russian Humanity Research Foundation. Cross-border basic research projects in humanity sciences and economics in Vitebsk (Belarus), Mogilev (Belarus), Pskov (Russia) and Smolensk  (Russia) regions will be supported.

♦  Joint call for research projects “BRFFR-RHRF-2014 M” by Belarusian Republican Foundation for Fundamental Research and Russian Humanity Research Foundation for young researchers’ grants.

The purpose of the call is to attract the talented researchers from Russia and Belarus to implementation of joint basic research, developing additional stimulus towards research creativity and increasing the quality of post-graduate training of researchers.

Within the call 2 year humanity research projects will be supported for small groups of young researchers working in the following areas:

• History, archeology, ethnography;
• Economics; 
• Philosophy, sociology, jurisprudence, political science, science of science;
• Philology, art history;
• A comprehensive study of man, psychology, pedagogy;
• Social problems of medicine and human ecology.
