Horizon 2020 Eastern Partnership Information Day "ICT in HORIZON 2020", Kyiv, 23 May 2013. The event is supported by the Eastern Partnership (EaP) Platform IV, and the Multilateral Part of the European Neigborhood Policy Instrument (ENPI).

The info-day is aimed at helping participants:

  • to better understand the role of ICT in Horizon 2020;
  • to exchange experience of participation of EaP countries in FP7;
  • to present ICT research priorities in Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries based on the findings of the project PICTURE (“Policy dialogue in ICT to an Upper level for Reinforced EU-EECA Cooperation ») and the pilot actions of the project planned for 2013-2014.

This event is addressed to EaP researchers and ICT-stakeholders interested in research and innovation cooperation with EU partners in Information and communication Technologies (ICT) under Horizon 2020. ICT stakeholders from other Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA) countries are welcome to participate.

The conference will convene about 100 representatives of higher education institutions, research institutes, business community, national and local authorities, from Ukraine and EECA countries, and the representatives of the European Commission.

Venue: National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" (Conference Hall), 37 Prospect Peremogy, Kiev 03056, Ukraine

Registration:

There is no registration fee. However, registration is mandatory to attend the conference. To apply for registration, please fill in and submit the registration form to kul.ivan@gmail.com before May 12, 2013. If the number of registered participants overreaches 100, registration can be terminated at any time.

Who can register?

  • ICTstakeholders from Eastern Europe and Central Asian countries (R&D specialists from universities, research centres, companies, representatives of ICT associations ...) interested in participation in projects of the upcoming HORIZON 2020
  • Lead scientists, experienced in the preparation, submission and implementation of FP7 ICT projects
  • Policy makers in charge of policy setting and development in ICT sector
  • Selection of participants will be hold by the Info-day’ Organizing Committee. The Ukraine ICT National Contact Point will send confirmation of attendance by email, on behalf of the Info-day Organizing Committee.
