The State Committee for Science and Technology together with Belarusian Institute of System Analysis and Information Support of Scientific and Technical Sphere has organized the S&T exposition within the framework of the National Exhibition of Belarus in Vietnam, at the 19th Vietnamese International Industrial Fair “VIETNAM EXPO-2009”.

On 7 April 2009 the solemn opening ceremony of Belarusian exposition was held in which the following officials took part: Hong Trung Haj, Assistant to the Prime-Minister of Vietnam, Sergey Aleynik, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus,  A.Kutselay, the Ambassador of Belarus in Vietnam, the diplomatic staff of the Embassy of Belarus in Vietnam and others.

At the S&T exposition the developments of leading universities, and also institutes and establishments of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus have been presented and widely advertised. Visitors of the exposition had an opportunity to familiarize with the system of technology transfer in the universities belonging to the Ministry of Education, information and marketing services of the Inter-University Centre of Marketing of Research Developments and organization of industrial platforms, consulting services and technology transfer offered by the S&T Park “Metolit” of Belarusian National Technical University.  They also had a chance to get familiar with the newest scientific achievements of research institutes and organizations of the National Academy of Sciences.

On the collective stand of the Ministry of Education 11 universities and organizations have been represented, including: Belarusian State University, Belarusian National Technical University, Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radio Electronics, Belarusian State Technological University, Belarusian-Russian University, Vitebsk State Technological University, Gomel State University named after F.Skoryna, Gomel State Technical University named after P.Sukhoy, Belarusian State University of Transport, Polotsk State University, Scientific Technological Park “Metolit” of BNTU.

The NAS was represented by the Institute of Heat and Mass Transfer, S&T Amalgamation of Powder Metallurgy, S&T Amalgamation “Tsentr”, Institute of Metals Technology and Physical Technical Institute.

Among the results of Belarus S&T delegation activities at the Exhibition the following deliverables could be mentioned: strengthening of the international image of our republic, better knowing Belarus by potential partners, gathering information about opportunities of cooperation with Vietnamese party by Belarusian participants of the Exhibition, information exchange and adjustment of close contacts between S&T organizations and companies of the two counties.
