The republican action plan for holding the Year of Quality in 2024 has been approved

Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 41 of January 16, 2024 approved the republican action plan for holding the Year of Quality in 2024.

The document provides for 69 measures aimed at strengthening the economic potential of the Republic of Belarus, ensuring quality indicators through stimulating initiatives, forming personal civic responsibility for achieving a high quality of life, and providing information for the Year of Quality. Their goals, mechanisms and deadlines for implementation, and responsible performers are also defined.

In particular, it is planned to:

participation in legislative support of the Year of Quality (preparation and adoption of laws of the Republic of Belarus "On accreditation in the National Accreditation System", "On Real estate activities", "On Consumer Credit (microloan)", "On Amendments to the Education Code of the Republic of Belarus", "On independent assessment and certification of qualifications", etc.);

improvement of the customs administration procedure by expanding the use of digital technologies in customs regulation and introducing technologies that ensure automatic execution of customs operations without the participation of officials;

expanding the network of technology and innovation support centers and improving their activities, including through the development of an electronic platform for interaction between participants of this network;

increased coverage of the forest fund by automated video surveillance systems for timely detection of forest fires;

re-equipment and modernization of production facilities;

maintaining the high quality of public roads;

development of the functionality of the portal for rating organizations that provide services that ensure the life of the population and (or) carry out administrative procedures, and its popularization;

introduction and widespread holding of competitions for innovators, innovative ideas, and professional skills;

ensuring the work of public reception offices to accept proposals from the population to improve the quality of life and services provided;

expanding the use of potential natural healing resources through the introduction of new types of health services and spa treatment programs in all health resort organizations;

expanding the practice of using supplementary pension insurance programs;

improving the quality of life in rural areas through the implementation of a set of measures aimed at creating comfortable living conditions for citizens in rural areas, developing modern social, engineering and transport infrastructure that ensures the established standards (standards) of quality of life;

development of the concept of preparing persons with special psychophysical development for work, family life, their socialization and integration into society;

create a "Year of Quality" section on the websites of government agencies, regional executive committees, Minsk City Executive Committee, and educational institutions, followed by posting information about events dedicated to the Year of Quality. Publish thematic reviews in social networks;

manufacture and retail sale of a themed clothing collection (merch) dedicated to well-known brands of the domestic industry;

organization of the State Quality Mark award ceremony.

The State Committee for Standardization is authorized to coordinate the activities of state agencies and other organizations to implement the plan.

The legal act was adopted in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 375 dated November 27, 2023 "On declaring 2024 the Year of Quality".
