Belarus, Lithuania intend to implement joint sci-tech projects

The Belarus State Committee for Science and Technology and the Lithuanian Ministry for Education and Science are holding a contest for the joint sci-tech projects for 2011-2012, BelTA learned from the Belarus State Committee for Science and Technology.

Both the sides are expected to implement various projects on the priority areas of the bilateral Belarusian-Lithuanian cooperation: new materials and new energy supplies, medicine, pharmacy and industrial biotechnologies, information and telecommunication technologies, technologies for production, processing and storage of agricultural products, resources and energy-saving technologies for competitive goods production, ecology and environmental management, humanitarian and social research.

Contest’s application forms are submitted until 6 September 2010.

The contest is held in line with the Belarusian-Lithuanian intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in science and technology and within the framework of the cooperation program between the Belarus State Committee for Science and Technology and the Lithuanian Ministry for Education and Science.
