The Association was set up to coordinate research, innovation and entrepreneurship in the field of nanotechnology. The organization will focus its efforts on disseminating information about the activities of the members and promoting their achievements. Besides, the Association will represent and protect the united property and non-property interests of its members, implement the annual monitoring of the nanotechnology industry, identify and analyze the demand for nanotechnology products, develop cooperation between members of the Association, financial institutions and foreign companies, coordinate joint investment projects, improve skills in the field of nanotechnology, etc. The new organization will be to some extent a platform for communication, where promising ideas in the field of nanotechnology will be discussed and worked out. Belarusian Association is planning to cooperate with a similar structure in Russia – the National Association of the Nanotechnology Industry. At the founding meeting the Association's charter has been discussed and a board elected. The Deputy Chairman of the NAS Presidium Sergey Chizhik has been elected a deputy chairman of the board and acting chairman of the board. |
