NASB, RAS announce scientific prize competition

The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) and the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) announced competition for their prize in 2009, BelTA learnt from the NASB Presidium.

The prize is awarded for outstanding scientific achievements attained during joint research in humanitarian, social, natural and technical fields that are of great academic and practical importance.

Eligible for the prize are Russian and Belarusian scientists who are the citizens of Russia and Belarus and work in scientific institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Scientific papers or series of joint scientific papers prepared by a group of scientists from Belarus and Russia can be submitted for consideration. The research team should not exceed three persons from each side while the number of researchers on Belarusian and Russian sides may differ.

The deadline for submitting papers is June 30, 2009.
