Khatyn is a symbol of the terrible tragedy experienced by the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War. On 22 March 1943, Nazi executioners burned alive and shot almost all the inhabitants of the village — 149 people, including 75 children. Remembering Khatyn, we recall thousands of other Belarusian villages destroyed by the Nazi invaders during the Great Patriotic War.

Deputy Director for Scientific Work of the State Institution "BelISA" Pavlova N.F. together with representatives of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus and its subordinate organizations took part in the ceremony of laying flowers at the Khatyn memorial complex to mark the 80th anniversary of the tragedy.
