The International Ecological Organization "Green Peace" believes that long-term consequences of Chernobyl accident for the people’s health are not well estimated. According to UN official data, about 4 thous. deaths from cancer diseases were connected in the past and will be connected in future with reactor’s explosion 20 years ago. "Green Peace" gives other figure: 100 thous. The majority of such cases, as is spoken in the report, published by organization, take place in Ukraine, Belarus and Russia.

Only in Belarus, under the statement of "Green Peace", about 270 thous. cases of oncology diseases and 93 thous. deaths from cancer are connected or will be connected to Chernobyl’s radiation influence.
