The Belarusian Institute Of System Analysis And Informational Support Of Scientific And Technical Sphere Videoconference in Minsk to mark Day of Belarusian Science |

The first international videoconference “Contribution of Belarusian Universities to the International Research of Fundamental Properties of Substance” timed to Day of Belarusian Science will be held on 25 January, 2012. Belarusian State University (BSU) will be the central venue for the conference, spokeswoman for the Education Ministry Yuliya Vanina told BelTA. Apart from students, scientists and pedagogues, partaking in the videoconference will be Education Minister Professor Sergei Maskevich, BSU Rector Sergei Ablameiko, dean of the BSU physical education department Viktor Anishchik, director of the BSU Institute of Nuclear Science Vladimir Baryshevsky, Rector of Grodno State University Yevgeny Rovba and many more. Videoconferencing from other countries will be Professor, Chief Academic Secretary of the United Institute of Nuclear Research (JINR, Russia), ATLAS team leader Nikolai Rusakovich; Professor, special adviser of the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN, Switzerland) Igor Golutvin; Professor, coordinator at the International Linear Collider Workshop Wolfgang Lohmann (DESY, Germany), and others. The participants of the videoconference will discuss the development of fundamental science in the present-day world, the participation of universities in this area, international cooperation between scientists and young researchers. They will also talk over modern trends in scientific development and outline possible cooperation areas between universities and scientific schools.
