Belarusian-Indian IT education center to open in December

A Belarusian-Indian information technologies education center will be opened in December, Deputy Director of the High-Tech Park Administration Alexander Martinkevich told a press conference on 3 September.

With financial support of the Belarusian company EPAM Systems the HTP administration is repairing and equipping the future IT education center in line with technical requirements of the Indian side. Deliveries of the equipment the new facility needs will begin in late September. “Indian partners will provide technical aid in acquiring equipment and literature,” said Alexander Martinkevich.

The education center will be based at premises of the High-Tech Park Administration in Minsk. It will have four regional branches located at the Sukhoi State University of Gomel, Masherov State University of Vitebsk, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and Pushkin State University of Brest.

The center and its regional branches will be equipped with modern computers, including equipment for webcast lectures, videoconferencing and distant learning.

The Belarusian-Indian IT education center is supposed to improve qualifications of IT specialists of the companies that reside in the High-Tech Park, qualifications of lecturers of relevant technical universities and to educate IT managers for corporations. At the expense of the Indian side eight Belarusian lecturers that will work in the new center have undergone training in India already.
