A session of the joint commission of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) and the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) was held in Paris, France, BelTA learnt from the Belarusian Embassy in France.

The session adopted a bilateral document on cooperation which provides for the implementation of a number of joint projects. The document also chalks out major promising areas of activities for the two scientific bodies of France and Belarus. In particular the sides decided to implement eight joint projects in 2013-2014.

The meeting participants praised the results of the Belarusian-French seminar on the application of nanotechnologies and nanomaterials in renewable energy. The seminar was held in Minsk, Belarus, in May 2013.

During the session the sides also discussed on the creation of joint international laboratories, and participation of young scientists from Belarus and France in joint programs.

The next session of the CNRS and NASB will be held in Minsk in June 2014.
