Medium-sized enterprises are most receptive to innovations in Belarus, Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich told media on 18 September.

The Minsk City Executive Committee informed the Belarusian head of government about import substitution efforts on 18 September. The Prime Minister visited ZAO Sola  LS, OAO Promburvod, and OAO Pharmtechnology where he was made familiar with the latest innovative products made in Belarus.

“I am convinced that medium-sized enterprises employing from 50 to 100-200 people are the most receptive ones to new ideas,” said Mikhail Myasnikovich. “Moreover, those are not the enterprises that used to be called purely innovative, that used to be in some incubation state, those are the companies that already make and sell merchandise, including on foreign markets, a lot of innovative products with a high added value. Suffice it to say that performance per employee at most of them stands at $60,000-70,000 and even $80,000. These are good indicators”. These enterprises make high quality export-oriented products. Belarusians are in for a lot of innovations in the near future. “It means that we don’t sit idle,” noted Mikhail Myasnikovich.
