Scientific organizations of Belarus, China to draw up cooperation roadmap

The State Committee for Science and Technology (SCST) and the China Academy of Engineering plan to draw up a cooperation roadmap, BelTA learnt from SCST Assistant Chairman Yuri Lukashevich.

“Following the Belarusian-Chinese negotiations in Minsk the parties took note of the need to develop a cooperation roadmap between scientific organizations of the two countries for projects of mutual interest for commercial implementation,” Yuri Lukashevich said.

SCST Chairman Igor Voitov and Executive Vice President of the China Academy of Engineering Pan Yunhe discussed possible cooperation ways and implementation of bilateral projects including in IT, biology, new materials, medicine and healthcare, electronics.

As part of sci-tech cooperation the two countries have so far prepared about 140 projects and nearly 150 innovation and investment projects that can be implemented both in Belarus and China.

It is expected that the State Committee for Science and Technology, BelISA Company and the China Academy of Engineering will sign an agreement on cooperation in science, innovation and technology.
