Eight countries to partake in World of Metal expo in Minsk

An international specialized exhibition, World of Metal 2010, will take place at the BelExpo National Center of Minsk (27 Yanka Kupala Street) on 21-24 September. Partaking in the forum will be over 50 companies from eight countries, BelTA learnt from the BelExpo National Center.

The expo will focus on ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, powder technologies, welding, latest development projects in the metallurgical industry. This year partaking in the exhibition are the companies from Russia, Ukraine, Switzerland, Estonia, Poland. Polimex mostostal (Poland), Elme metal (Estonia) and Spiro Sa (Switzerland) will take part in the exhibition for the first time.

The Belarusian companies partaking in the exhibition will be the Belarusian Steel Works, Atlant, Belvtormet, the Gomel Foundry and Standards Works, Belmetall, Baranovichimetallopttorg, Severstalbel, the Svetlogorsk Welding Rod Works. Russia will be represented by the Magnitogorsk Steel Works, Rosmetall, Petrostal Steel Works, Bor Pipeline Works, alongside the Nikopol Steel Pipe Works from Ukraine.

The World of Metal expo can be by right named a large industrial forum for metallurgists, equipment and technology producers and customers, the organizers of the forum noted. The exhibition and associated events will be one of the major information resources about materials and cutting-edge technologies in the metallurgy.

An exposition, Recycling, will highlight the collection, recycling and use of secondary resources. The major goal of the event is to draw the attention of the public to the issue, create the single business platform for national and international experts exchanging the latest developments and experience in processing secondary resources.

The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange initiates an international exchange auction of metal production on the second and third days of the exhibition.

The exhibition has been organized by the BelExpo National Center under the aegis of the Industry and Trade Ministries, the National Academy of Sciences.
